Accessibility Functions

This document provides information about shortcut navigation and available styles on this website.

Shortcut Navigation

The website of Renaissance Learning UK offers additional navigation functions. In text browsers and browsers without css support several links are provided to navigate quickly through the document (i.e. the link "jump to contents").

Additionally, you can choose to navigate via shortcuts. A shortcut is a specific key combination which allows you to either navigate inside the document or change directly to an important page (i.e. this help page, sitemap) inside this website.

Shortcut navigation works in modern browsers with the following technical specifications:

  • Windows and Linux in general:
    [ALT]-key + access key number
  • Internet Explorer:
    [ALT]-key + access key number, [ENTER]-key
  • Opera:
    [SHIFT]-key + [ESC]-key, access key number
  • Macintosh in general:
    [CTRL]-key + access key number
Important: The NumPad on your keyboard cannot be used to type the access key numbers. Please use the number keys on top of the main keyboard.

List of access keys for this website:

  • 0: Change to help page
  • 1: Jump to top of document
  • 2: Jump to contents of document
  • 3: Change to sitemap page

Styles on this website

This website offers 3 different styles: "Text version", "Large Font" and "Standard". "Standard" is the default style which is active when you load (and re-load) any page. We don't use cookies and it is currently not possible to define another style as your personal default style.

To switch styles click on the link for the required style which you find on top of the page. Please notice: You need to have javascript enabled to see the style links and to be able to switch to another layout.

  • Text version
Almost all layout elements are removed from the document. If you would like to change the text size check out your browser's "view" menu. The function "text size" (or similiar) offers the possibility to change the size of the font from 50% up to 200%. Don't forget to switch this setting back to 100% to see the page correctly in standard style.
  • Large Font
The document is shown in a large font size.
  • Standard
The document is shown in the default layout.

Specific browsers like Mozilla, Firefox and Opera offer the available styles in their "view" menu. They are available regardless if javascript is active or not. Internet Explorer doesn't provide this function; you can only switch styles via the links on top of this page and javascript enabled.
