Micro Librarian Systems (MLS) were established in 1981 with the aim of developing high-specification library automation systems, mainly for schools and colleges. Over the years we have developed systems specially designed to meet the needs of educational establishments, building on a strong understanding of our market and supporting thousands of users mainly in the UK, but also throughout Europe, USA, Middle East and Africa.

Our two main systems, Eclipse and Junior Librarian, include all the main features you would expect from high end library management solutions and offer full compatibility with Accelerated Reader, enhancing the reading experience by allowing pupils to take interactive quizzes based on their favourite books.

Engaging and simple to use, Junior Librarian is a purpose-built system aimed at Infant and Primary School libraries where there isn't necessarily a 'Librarian' and the children are required to issue books to themselves. Junior Librarian is designed to not only manage the library stock and school resources, but also as a teaching tool to cover many aspects of the National Curriculum and National Literacy Strategy with the recent addition of Readit.
