How Accelerated Maths
works
The program displays the topics, which match the National Numeracy
Strategy, along with each pupil's name. This means that you can see the
progress of each pupil at a glance. It also means that you can quickly identify
pupils who are falling behind. You can choose which year library each pupil works on, so matching the system to their individualised learning needs and
allowing them to work at their own pace. This is how it works:
-
The teacher allocates a number of objectives for each pupil to practice.
-
The system generates a worksheet for the pupil to complete.
-
The pupil transfers their answers to an optical reader card (like a lottery
card).
-
The system marks the worksheet immediately and produces reports
-
The pupil discusses the results with the teacher.
-
The system produces the next worksheet for the pupils based on how
well they did in the previous assignment.
