What's New in Accelerated Maths
Renaissance Place 3.4 Continued...

If you select Print Exercise or Diagnostic Test for all pupils requiring intervention, you will be taken directly to a page that shows all of the pupils in the class who have an Intervene symbol. You can quickly see who already may have an Exercise or Diagnostic Test and can, with one click, print assignments for all pupils in need of intervention.

Handle Intervene Objectives

Practice Preference

A new option has been added to the Practice Preference.

Practice Preference

The Automatically Assign Objectives option allows Accelerated Maths to automatically assign the next objectives when printing a practice for a pupil. This option defaults to Off, but you can set Accelerated Maths to automatically assign up to 5 objectives at a time, allowing you to control how far a pupil can continue to work ahead. Accelerated Maths will only assign objectives if:

  • The pupil does not already have objectives assigned
  • The pupil does not have any objectives ready for review work

The Automatically Assign Objectives preference is set to Off by default so that new Accelerated Maths teachers can get familiar with how practice assignments work. After you become familiar with using practice assignments, you may want to consider changing the preference.

Reports

Most of the Accelerated Maths reports were reviewed and updated to a format that is consistent across all Renaissance Place application reports.

Diagnostic Report

The Diagnostic Report has been updated to include Engaged Time per Day. The Percent of Full Pace calculation has been replaced with the Average Number of Objectives Mastered per Week.

Renaissance Place Changes

In order to give all of the applications in Renaissance Place a more consistent look and feel, changes were made to the header and layout of the pages. Note that all header navigation links are now on the second row and that the page titles, such as Assignment Book, are on the page rather than left-justified in the header.

Home Connect

If you currently use Accelerated Maths Advantage, you will have access to Home Connect™ for your pupils. Pupils who are active in a current Accelerated Maths program will be able log in to Accelerated Maths from home and:
  • View progress on previous assignments and objectives mastered
  • See the objectives they are ready to test on
  • Reprint or mark a Practice and get their next Practice
  • Reprint or mark an Exercise

A Home Connect preference was also added to Accelerated Maths to allow you to disable marking from home.

If a pupil clicks on Practices and Exercises, this is what they will see.
